Poured cola brown with a tall light brown head that settles into a rocky mound on the surface.
The taste- yowsa, I’m a fan of Baltic Porters and this may be the best one I’ve tried yet. The smoke is subtle, rather underlining everything. The chocolate and caramel are not sweet, but nuances. A very nice morning coffee and a few dark fruits round it out. And this simply doesn’t do it justice.
The feel is very light body, but it didn’t slow me down in the slightest. Just gave it a more filling feel.
OA, very good beer, I’d love to try it again.

Brewers notes: We share this beer with you with a tremendous amount of pride. Typically brewed in autumn and left to condition naturally for several months in our horizontal stainless tank, Comfy Cozy emerges with an overwhelmingly smooth disposition carrying flavors of molten chocolate, caramel, toffee, rich dark fruit, and light coffee with a pleasant and pervasive smoky character.
It carries the most marvelous and dense head, an appealing start to the smooth, velvety beer to follow. Beers like Comfy Cozy represent the best and most energetic offerings we make—we hope you are able to enjoy it in good health and in good spirits with those you love.
Can purchased for my target in bif18 at Tree house Tewksbury , brewed “ winter 2024”
Chilled can poured into a willi be her, dark brown cola, liquid capped by a creamy brown foam, cap with cloaking lacings, settles to a ring
Aroma is smoky roasted malts , bakers chocolate
Taste is smoky malts, chocolate , fresh brewed coffee
Smooth , subtle creaminess , good sudsing , gentle hop nibble on the finish
Not a style I would normally try , I prefer stouts over porters. This is really good , recommended

L: Deep brown like a Catholic church pew. Ok head and lacing.
S: chocolate, toasted sugar, Beachwood smoke.
T: chocolate, but not a solo note. Smoke mellows it to an almost desert like decadence. Some morning coffee at the back.
T: Smooth AF. Light bubbles let it come close to molten goodness but pull you back at the last second.
O: I want more smoke, but otherwise this is great. Well blended and presents like a champ.

Canned Winter 2023. "Happy birthday Chicken Little" stamped on the bottom of the can
Baltic Porters are always nice, and Smoked Porters can be fun too, but I'm not sure if I've ever had a combination of the 2 before. I liked OG Cozy quite a bit, but there's better Baltic Porters out there, so maybe this one can improve upon it. Let's crack it open and find out
Pours a very dark brown with 3 fingers of frothy tan head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The smoke is actually quite gentle in the nose, adding a nice dimension to it. I'm picking up on aromas of cocoa powder, toffee, dark cherry, burnt caramel, smoked oak, raisin, medium roast coffee, light herbal hops, and dark bread
It's quite similar in taste, the smoke still remaining a subtle undertone throughout, though it's integrated even better here. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting milk chocolate, light roast coffee, raisin, earthy hops, beechwood smoke, burnt caramel, brown sugar, and light toffee. The swallow brings notes of dark cherry, milk chocolate, sweet caramel, dark bread, medium roast coffee, toffee, raisin, beechwood smoke, molasses, brown sugar, and light oak
A medium full body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes a bit sticky but doesn't kill the drinkability
I really dig this one. Perhaps counterintuitively, the addition of smoke made the traditional Baltic Porter notes stand out more than they did in the base beer. Definitely worth trying this one

Pours opaque, jet black in color with one inch head. Taste is baker's chocolate, milk chocolate and oak. Medium heavy body, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet. This is delicious. Way better than Cozy. The kiss of oak makes all the difference...and normally I don't like barrel aging. Really good lager.

Picked-up two cans at Tree House in Sandwich for about eleven dollars. My two hundred and ninety seventh brew from these guys. "Winter 23" on bottom of can. Just ok for me. Kind of bland.
