Following primary fermentation, this carefully-managed batch of Trail receives a judicious dose of Riwaka hops grown by our friends, Freestyle Hops in Upper Moutere, New Zealand. This treatment elevates the flavor profile, presenting notes of potent red grapefruit and summer stone fruit atop a zippy and entirely crushable base beer. My word, it is beautiful. Refined and dutifully executed, Trail Riwaka is sure to quench your thirst. We trust you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Canning date Summer 2024. A lovely, hoppy Pilsner and maybe my favorite of the Trail series. Crisp, a little tropical and a pleasant, mildly bitter finish. Perfect on a hot summer day.

Finally made it to their Sandwich location and had a pint of this from the side pull. I’m sure the base beer is lovely and a tasty Pilsner, but when it’s hopped like this, especially with a pungent hop like Riwaka, it’s no longer a Pils. It’s a heavily hopped American lager. Drinks like a hopped Blonde Ale. Super smooth and easy drinking with a delicious hop profile from Riwaka, which is one of my favorite hops in the entire world. NZ runs the hop game. Anyway, great beer, but it’s not a true Pils.

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours clear, gold in color with one inch head. Taste is big florals with grass and toasted malt. Light bodied, crisp, slightly bitter, moderate carbonation. Might be one of the most floral pilsners I have had. Totally not what I was expecting but good and memorable.
