Pours dark chestnut with minimal head. Nose is of malt and smoky peat. The smokiness is even more noticeable in the taste, which is otherwise sweet and malty with a light carbonation. Very nice "special occasion" beer.

Pours a dark brown, with minimal carbonation and little lacing. There’s so much peat in the nose - if this was served to me blindfolded, I’d swear it was an Islay. The taste doesn’t have anywhere as much barrel (or complexity) as the smell implies, but is still sweet without being cloying. The beers leaves a nice warming flavor in the finish.
