Milford Sound is our newest foray into wine barrel aged lagers, accentuating the cross section between oak, grape and hops. Ruby Bay takes a secondary conditioning period in Sauvignon Blanc barrels where it achieves a stunning clarity and mellow tannin notes from its wooden vessel. Peacharine, Riwaka and Nelson intermingle with the bright stone fruit of Sauvignon Blanc, creating a liquid akin in its dryness to that of a mixed fermentation. Milford Sound is a labor of love that is at once approachable and endlessly complex.
