High above the Wangapeka River and in the shadow of majestic blue rock cliffs, a most scenic hop farm grows the spoils of the New Zealand Landscape. Drenched in select Riwaka and Motueka hops sourced from Blue Rock Hop Farm in the Tasman Region of New Zealand’s South Island, Bright Fine Gold pours an ebullient yellow color into your glass. It explodes with flavors and aromas of passion fruit, mixed tropical fruit, pineapple, and white wine. It is a shining example of our ongoing endeavor to improve with each successive batch and bring you a taste of place a world away from home. We hope it brings you as much joy as it brings us.

Pours a hazy golden with white head. Some pineapple and lime zest on the nose. It's got the medium body of a Julius with some light pineapple and lime, but with some malt presence as well. It's a fine IPA but a BBBright Fffine Gggolddd treatment might be in order here. This is a fine yet not outstanding Tree House IPA. It's good to see them making a single IPA that isn't a core beer though.

From a 16oz can, dated 11/24/23. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a hazy orange-gold with two fingers of soft, creamy suds. Retention is good, leaving a thick cap and a tattered curtain of gobby lacing.
Nose is crackery, vinous. When I first popped the can I got hit with a wave of pineapple; now the pineapple’s gone and the aroma I’m getting is white grape and a whiff of pee.
Taste is fruity, wine-like, just a bit tart. Tasting white wine, water cracker, sweet orange, gooseberry. Slight sour grapes aftertaste.
Feel is juicy, medium bodied and brightly carbonated. There’s a mild sour and boozy smoulder in the gullet.
Overall, a little confused here: the can says Riwaka and Motueka but, to my palate, it could easily pass as a Nelson single hop. Other folks will probably love it but I’m just sort of, like, ehhh.
