Wafflebanger—Breakfast Buffet is a rendition of Wafflebanger featuring amplified additions of maple syrup, fresh banana, and a hint of blueberry. The idea for this beer originally came from the wonderful blueberry-forward notes of Mosaic hops, and the liquid in this can pushes the idea further! Pouring like gold into your glass, it carries all the notes of your favorite breakfast confections with a big hit of juicy hoppiness. If it sounds unusual, it is, but to our delight, it works remarkably well. We hope that you enjoy this little number as much as we do!

L - pours a brownish orange that's... honestly not super appealing to look at, at least by Tree House standards. Hold it up to the light and it glows nicely though.

S - oh man, dat banana from the moment the can is cracked. Yellow Runts completely dominate the aromatics. Gotta dig deep to smell that mango creamsicle, honeydew, and cantaloupe.

T - banana up front, but it's quickly eclipsed by spicy grapefruit rind, lightly toasted. Peppery and sweet as the maple slides in. Not getting much blueberry, but it does sorta blend in with the banana. Mosaic hops add that crackery warmth to really hammer home the breakfast theme. Lingering earthy bitterness that puckers the mouth and leaves you smacking your lips.

F - velvety smooth, but lighter than expected for the heft this beer promises. The stinging hops electrify the carbonation, making this oddly refreshing.

O - there's a lot going on here. Flavors that really don't belong together, nevermind in a beer, but as usual, TH delivers in the best way possible. I don't think there is any way that makes this a "best beer", but it might just be the best IPA with banana, blueberry, and maple.

Pours hazy, orange brown in color with one quarter inch head. Big banana, apricot, maple syrup and blueberry on finish. Heavy bodied, bitter, medium low carbonation. Huge blueberry taste excellent. Such a complex and blueberry forward variant. Excellent hazy brew.

Banana is prominent on both the nose and the palate, and while I'm sure they used actual, fresh banana, in this brew it comes across with that cloying, artificial banana flavor you expect from candy or ice cream.

The fruity notes of the hops are definitely second fiddle. Even the addition of actual blueberry is kind of lost, and the maple syrup makes for a poor alchemy with the banana; they just don't work well together. There is a bit of blueberry on the finish.

OG Wafflebanger is a wonderful blend that works much better than expected. This one, while OK, is somehow much worse than expected.
