We dug deep into the archives - all the way back to Curiosity Fifteen - to inspire this beer. Featuring high-oil Cascade, Chinook, Columbus, and Centennial, Real Sticky is a vintage, dank American IPA that makes no apologies as it coats your palate with sticky hop goodness. Real Sticky pours a beautiful, clean orange color into your glass. It carries notes of pineapple, orange juice, pine, and sticky cannabis with a firm but ephemeral bitterness. Crisp, crushable, and resinous, this is a beautiful beer!

Clear and golden in color with a THICK, white, frothy head. Superb lacing. Nose is spicy and piney. Taste is as the can suggested, pine, resinous and heavy on bitterness.

The description on the can immediately sounded like Heady Topper, so I was kind of expecting something similar to that. On the pour it's a bit clearer than Heady - and certainly not the typical Tree House haze bomb - with a creamy white head. Smell is dank hops and weed. Taste is initially grapefruit and pineapple with a touch of sweetness that quickly gives way to pine and hoppy bitterness. Quite light-bodied, especially for a Tree House IPA, but that's not a criticism.

Overall a very nice example of a "transitional" IPA (like Heady) - with its roots in the WC style, but with definite leanings towards New England. I hope this ends up in regular rotation at Tree House even though I'd have preferred a touch more bitterness.

An aggressive pour yields an almost clear golden colored beer with a creamy white head that yields tons of lacing and a nice cap on the beer as TH beers are known to do. Gorgeous WCIPA.

The nose is weedy and dank, with bright citrus (ripe oranges and pineapple) joined by a nice resiny pine aroma and cannabis that fits the WCIPA profile really well. Very nice.

The taste captures a lot of the dank, weedy cannabis note, with the ripe oranges and subtle pineapple lending a helping hand for balance and slightly bitter, resiny pine lingering on the finish that is crisp and drying, something that’s never seen on the TH hazies.

I’d love to see do more in the WCIPA style, with the adventurous spirit they show with their hazies, because this is a VERY good “non-hazy.”

Purchased today at Tree House with a canning date of today: 4/19/2024. Can’t get more fresh than that! Another thoroughly delicious NE-style IPA. Lovely tropical notes on the nose and palate.
