Originally brewed in the winter of 2014, Haze is by far the youngest of the core Tree House icons, but its concept predates its release by almost half a decade. We have brewed hundreds and hundreds of batches of this beer, traveled the world to learn which hops make it as good as it can be, and, through constant iteration and refinement, dedicated our working lives to making it a beer we love to drink. For this celebratory batch, we’ve included Amarillo sourced from Elk Mountain in Idaho. This Amarillo had a particularly potent stone fruit note that played perfectly with the familiar Haze hop blend. In addition to Amarillo, we’ve used a very small splash of fresh 2024 Peacharine.

Pours a dense, opaque, pastel yellow; extremely thick head, white and dense with a creamy texture. A very unique smell; lightly sweet with lightly toasted oat-like tones and a hard to pin down citrus / spiciness combo; banana and papaya. Complex flavors; citrus pith bitterness with fruity esters reminiscent of banana and cloves; mild oat taste. Heavy mouthfeel; dense, viscous, velvety; big residual sugar presence; heavy juiciness.
Looking back at my regular Haze review, this anniversary version is levels above it. One thing then as now was my note of the unique smell. Then, I was picking up cucumber, this edition brings more of a toasted oat character. Anyway, this anniversary edition is quite unique and appealing. Bold and colorful all around.
ABV: 8.2%; pouring temperature: 44 °F; canning info: LIVE WELL 7.15.2024

Beautiful classic golden yellow murk glug glug. Outstanding burst of peach, mango guava taste followed both a mild bitter orange peel and dank. Medium body for TH, still creamy, delicious trademark Tree House! Love it!

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Tree House Brewing Company, Sandwich, MA
7/15/24
Served in a tulip
The beer poured a fuller bodied, hazy, glowing yellow ochre hue. A tight and creamy, off-white, finger-tall crown topped the liquid and quickly dropped to a clingy, medium sized collar. Patchy lacing stuck along the front portion of the glass.
The aroma was amazingly punchy and complex. Juicy citrus notes came through big time. Candied orange slices perhaps. Loads of tropical fruit goodness too. There was a nice dank, weed-like quality as well. Fairly sweet overall but appropriately so given the style. Ripe peach notes appeared the beer sat. The peach really intensified later.
The flavor profile was terrific but definitely drier, pithier and not as interesting as the nose. Again, citrus notes came through strongest. Nice mix of juicy orange flesh and pithy orange rind. Generic tropical fruit notes appeared in the center. Good dose of ripe peach as well. Orange peel appeared on the back end and carried into the finish. Pithy, bitter, rind-like notes lingered after the swallow.
Nice creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel. Slick and smooth on the palate. The beer contained a fine, fairly zippy effervescence that fluffed up nicely on the palate.
Haze 10th Anniversary is an impressive beer though perhaps not much better than original Haze. I am glad I had an opportunity to try this but do not feel the need to seek it out again.

Surprisingly herbal on the nose. Yes, the name may be Haze, but OG Haze isn't particularly dank. Strong additional notes of pineapple, mango, and papaya.
Moderate dankness and green herbal notes translate to the palate, especially mid sip, but it's still first and foremost a juicy NE IIPA. Lush notes of mango and pineapple lead off, complemented by peach. The herbal character adds depth and complexity not frequently found paired with such balance (not since Galaxy hops went down hill). Nails the same soft mouthfeel for which Tree House is well known.

From a nine-day-old can, pours a deep almost greenish-gold. Smell and taste prominently feature peach and other stone fruit, along with ripe tropical fruits. Unfortunately, there is a strong diacetyl note that makes this tough going. A rare miss.
