King of the Mountain is our take on a classic German-style Bock.
King of the Mountain’s mild, up-front malt flavor is accompanied by a soft carbonation and slight hints of earthier notes, including pine, resin and tobacco. Dark cherry and semisweet caramel flavors complement this bouquet, with additional character reminiscent of Concord grape and grapefruit.

Poured from the can into an elongated tulip glass.
Deep brown with hints of red ruby edges and just a noticeable hint of clarity. Faint tan cream forming head of three fingers which settles slowly and laces with rings and has a big webbed collar.
Delicious nose. Creamy sensing chocolate at first, followed with a dry clove note and spicy malt grains it seems. Clean and hinting with just a touch of raisin fruit as well.
Rich tasting palate. Deep milk chocolate notes almost whipped with air, and a light husky dryness of malt that seems noticeable on first sip. Clean finish with mild touches of cherry and raisin fruit.
Can't complain about this one solid with excellent subtle character for a bock. Nice to know they can pull off some decent lager styles instead of ipas

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours clear, mahogany in color with one inch head. Taste is big toasted malt and bread. Medium light body, moderate low carbonation, slightly sweet. Nice, nice lager

Clear dark ruby color is attractive though perhaps slightly dark for a bock. Smell is malty. Taste is to the style but rather hoppy bitter. Feel is lightish. Overall a pleasant and easy to drink brew and very good TH take on the style.
