Treasures of the Deep is an American DIPA brewed with Citra, Columbus, and Amarillo! Additionally, we utilized a legendary English base malt called Pearl. Pearl is a traditional English variety known for its slightly bready and sweet flavor. Pouring a glowing orange color into your glass, Treasures of the Deep carries notes of overripe pineapple, honey, mango, and apricot over a base of toasty sweet malt flavor. Treasures of the Deep is one example of our persistent endeavor to elevate our beer through continued trials and experimentation with new-to-us ingredients.

From a 16oz can dated 10/29/25 into a weizen glass. Can message: "Steinbeck"

Pours an essentially opaque (but not as thick as some TH offerings) straw color with a little more than one finger of white head. Really nice retention and lacing.

Crack of the can and it's all sweet citrus aromas-orange, tangerine. A little warming and there's some apricot and a touch of honeydew.

Citrus and melon flavor with a sweet, almost sugary base. Touch of piney bitterness.

Medium-bodied with a dry finish. Medium carbonation. Light bitter aftertaste.

Really well-put together beer but probably not one I'd reach for again.

It is a hazy
Deep cloudy orange in color with a thick, white, frothy head. Nose is citrus and melon. Taste is also citrus with a slight bready flavor. Peppery, bitter finish followed by a build of the citrus again. Nice, very nice beer!

Purchased cold ten days ago at Charlton in a mix-case, but it is priced at $20.00/4-pack. Kept cold until severed. Poured to a pretentious tulip-like glass from the 16oz stamped “STEINBECK 10.29.25”.
The body pours out an opaque hazy with a light orange hue. Color is approximately SRM 4. The head is white, and large but fades to a single layer with a ring against the glass. Lacing aggressive on glass tilt, cover almost 90%, but sliding back to 40% in about 5-seconds.
The aroma is mild and of sweet citrus and fresh bread (bit of a surprise in a hazy).
The taste is a little spicy in the front, orange rind in the middle and a bit of an alcoholic finish. Unlike most TH hazys this actually has a noted malt background.
Mouthfeel is lightly creamy but carbonation battles it.
Overall-The writing on the can implies that this is an experiment. I think this malt differentiates this beer from other TH hazy beers in a nice departure.

16oz can dated 11/7/24.

Pours cloudy gold with an inch of dense white head. Moderate retention and lacing. Pungent aromatics with candied peach, mango, apricots. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Ripe tropicals on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Orange zest, hard peaches, mango. Finishes lush and assertively hoppy.

Canned 11/07/2024. Enjoyed the nose of slightly dank tropical fruit more than the taste which seemed a tad too bitter especially on the finish. That said, this is a very nice NE IPA.

Had on tap. Pours murky, gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is papaya and white wine. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly bitter. Solid but not spectacular dipa. Not too distinguishable.

A: hazy burnt orange color with some light brown notes towards the center

S: loads of mango, mango sorbet. Lemons, creamsicle, and sweet melon. Caramel and cracker then orange juice and sweet grapefruit. Pineapple and tangerine with guava and clementine

T: passion fruit, guava, mango sorbet and peach. Sweet melon, clementines and kiwi. Some chalky hop bitterness and slight pineapple

M: chewy, fluffy medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation

O: awesome brew. It’s got a bit of some rawness to it, but it works in here somehow with the citrus notes
