Alter-ish was an inevitability for hot summer days.
Crafted to be everything you love about Alter Ego, but in pale ale form, Alter-ish carries a glowing orange body and a uniquely fluffy appeal.
It carries notes of fresh-squeezed juicy citrus and tropical fruit offset by an appropriate and thirst-quenching bitterness.
It’s pale ale nirvana. Enjoy!

a: hazy burnt orange and yellow color with a slight copper hint and a 1 finger frothy off-white head
s: tangerines and sharp pineapple. orange juice and orange zest followed by guava and strawberry. some mango sorbet and a sweet earthy note. faint apricots as well with a hint of bready malt
t: tangerines and watery orange juice (sounds weird, but it works for a Pale Ale). ripe mango and generic sweet citrus. light sweet melon and big hit of strawberry kiwi. faint passionfruit and peach
m: lighter side of medium with low-medium mouthfeel
o: Alter Ego is one of my favorite Tree House beers. this is billed as the Pale Ale version of that, and as memory serves me it pretty much lives up to that. lighter in most aspects, but still with a rounded out hop depth that is appropriate for above average in the style

Light than regular Alter Ego in feel, but not in flavor. An excellent example of Tree House's of process - taking one beer and turning it into a whole family.

Hadon tap at Sandwich. Pours murky, gold in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is dried apricot and mango. Light bodied, moderate low carbonation, slightly bitter. Juicy...exactly what I thought it would be. Very light, dialed down Alter. I think I prefer this to regular Alter. Delicious and sessionable. Excellent for style.
