Medley is a Tree House Double IPA aggressively hopped with four favorite American hops: Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, and Mosaic.
It pours golden orange into your glass and features characteristics of a medley of mixed citrus fruits. Fresh-squeezed oranges, clementines, and tangerines dominate the profile, while background notes of melon, pine, mango, and papaya accompany it.
Medley embodies the better part of fifteen years spent searching for the ideal Double IPA. It is soft, aromatic, flavorful, and proudly brewed for you in Charlton, Massachusetts. Twelve years in, and our energy feels like we’re just getting started—enjoy!

16 oz can, dated 5/6/25 so about 3 weeks from canning
Pours an opaque murky yellow color with a tint of brown, thick white head. Not the best looking hue. But the aroma is very nice - mix of bright citrus and resinous dankness. Similar taste, with a moderately bitter finish, not too sweet. My kind of hop combo. Soft mouthfeel.

Notes via stream of consciousness: This 8.3% double IPA contains four of my favorite hops: Mosaic, Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe. It's poured a murky yellow body with a light orange sheen beneath a two finger thick head of yellowed off-white foam. The aroma is sweetish and fruity with notes of sweet berries, peach, and tangerine. On to the taste... it's pleasantly sweet and fruity, and I don't think there's a whole lot of bitterness going on. There IS a little bit of alcohol but that's to be expected. There's some hop resin to it but not much, which leaves a lot of room for the fruitiness to shine. I'm getting notes of berries, peach, tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit, apricot, and grapefruit. A lot of people talk about bubblegum, and I don't usually get that, but I can certainly see that here. Some earthiness and floral character comes out in the finish along with just a touch of hop resin and pine. Really nice. In the mouth it has that bigger, heavy protein feel that Tree House is known for although it's really medium bodied on the fuller end. It's smooth and creamy. The head held up really well and it left great lacing throughout the glass.

Deep, opaque orange color. Has a nice foamy white head.
Loads of citrus on the nose. Oranges, tangerines, grapefruit.
The flavor has oranges and tangerines, some orange cream, as well as a bit of honeydew melon and mango. Bitter and piney on the finish.
Mouthfeel is a touch of hop burn short of perfect. Creamy, soft, dry.
Been a while since I've had a new Tree House IPA that "wowed" me. Not that there haven't been any good ones. But this is definitely going to be a classic and regular in the rotation.

Okay, look, in my opinion, this beer is truly an American Pale Ale and it tastes great. The first sip is a little tangy and bitter, but after that, watch out, the ensuing taste is outstanding. I love NEIPAs, but have been looking for something that borders on a western IPA, but has great taste, and this beer meets that mark. Grab it and enjoy.
