Smooth is a rendition of Julius conditioned on banana purée! It builds upon Julius’s tropical aromas by transforming them into a smoothie-like drinking experience. With a fluffy body and a creamy finish, notes of mellow banana custard, ripe mango, orange candies, banana frappé, and citrus zest coat the palate. Made with simple ingredients in a judicious manner, Smooth is a beer we are proud to stand behind for its careful execution and exceptional outcome. Keep cold and enjoy fresh!

L - pours a deep, rich orange. Like a sunset or the last remaining glowing embers from a summer campfire. Coupla fingers on that head with some seriously sticky lacy. After a few moments the beer looks like a fire in itself.
S - Julius up front. Mango, orange juice, and cantaloupe. Quickly transitions to banana candy and plantains. Fresh and vibrant.
T - banana is tempered on the tongue, which is a good thing. Delightfully balanced between honey mango, banana smoothie, and nectarine. A touch of herbal bitterness leaves this feeling fresh and exotic.
F - smooth and creamy with a mild, peppery bite.
O - delicately restraint. Banana is a complement, not dominance. Was actually hoping for a bit more banana, but I'm pleased with the end result.

This one pours a very hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like orange, caramelized banana, tangerine, and grapefruit.
There’s a lot more banana on the nose than on the palate, but it’s still there. It’s at its core still just a good IPA, with some intriguing banana notes. It’s creamy, citrusy, and very smooth.
This is thick but not ridiculously so, with a nice drinkability to it.
This isn’t quite as overbearing as some fruited IPAs can be.

16 oz can dated 3.13.2026
Pours cloudy opaque dark gold yellow orange with a dense creamy white foam head. Smells like strong banana, hints of banana hard candy, some tropical pineapple, mango, peach, grapefruity orange citrus, subtle lime, slight caramelized bready grainy malt, with dank resinous earthy herbal grassy floral pine. Tastes like sweet banana custard, tropical pineapple, mango, peach, grapefruity orange citrus, lime pith, slight caramelized bready grainy malts, and dank resinous earthy herbal grassy floral pine. Feels medium-full bodied, creamy with smooth moderate carbonation. Overall a really nice IPA conditioned on banana puree.

16oz can.
Pours turbid yellow with an inch of white head. Persistent retention with plenty of spongy lacing. Bananas in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Big banana on the palate with minimal malt and a balancing bitterness. Finishes with lots of bananas.

Smells strongly of banana candy. At first it was pretty interesting. Later in the pour it became tiring.
