Black Lotus is a bit shrouded in mystery.
Brewed with a singular yeast and a potent intercontinental hop duo, it’s an outlier in our expansive hoppy beer program- uncommon and powerful.
If you’re a fan of our beer, you know we’ve been engaged in constant experimentation and innovation, always tapping new potential since our inception. Black Lotus is the current embodiment of those efforts.
Enjoy this little moment of magic.

Canned 3/12/2025. Pours a hazy straw gold. Lovely nose of tropical and stone fruit. Similar palate with a pleasantly bitter resin-y finish. Very nice.

As every brewery in the world has had a hand at haze making, you'd think that all experimentation has been seen and tasted, but Tree House is no ordinary brewery and their trials are not common experiments.
Milky gold and carrying a solid sepia silt, Black Lotus begins its enigmatic journey by floating a creamy and dense blanket of foam along with a fruit filled hop cocktail of tropical fruit, citrus, stone fruit, berry and herb. Creamy, sweet and bready, the early palate is rife with cereal, shortcake and honeysuckle.
A slow fade of cereal sweetness meets a billowing flavor of hops to create a fruity bouquet of flavors that share pineapple, mango, passionfruit and kiwi in a bold tropical display. Not to be outdone, juicy citrus flavors of white grapefruit, tangerine and lime add a citrus zing. Even more fruit flavors of white peach, currant and honeydew bring complementary balances of sweetness, tartness and fullness, these hops aren’t messing around.
Trending smoothly bitter, the grain sugars eventually relax to allow a surprising sense of drinkability, dryness and bitterness. If Black Lotus has any success, it just may deliver us from overly sweet and heavy IPA.

Can pour; color is a medium orange with some green. Head is thin but constant. Nose is lightly grassy/rindy. Flavor is similar. Body is extremely full. Finish is lightly dry.
