Old Market is a Tree House twist on a historical style born in the town of Cottbus, Germany. Kottbussers were banned by the Reinheitsgebot Purity Law in 1877 as they utilized a variety of novel adjuncts. This beer represents a rare chance to experience a moment in beer history.
Old Market pours a deep golden color with slight haze under a dense white head. Old Market is brewed with barley, wheat, oats, Massachusetts blueberry honey, molasses, and Hallertau hops. We experience rich bready malt, mild sweetness, a balanced bitterness, lemon zest, and strong floral notes throughout each sip.

Pours clear, gold in color, with one inch head. Taste is light berry with big pilsner malt. Light bodied, slightly sweet, moderate carbonation. It is a solid lager. I got touches of esb from this. Nice but Tree House makes more interesting lagers.
