Americans love Coffee so much that we adapted a cake to honor it. There aren’t many rules to follow in their variations other than being delicious. We took the classic approach and, obviously, the delicious approach.
Brewed with a complex array of chocolate malts, rich coffee beans, chocolate syrup, vanilla beans and bundles upon bundles of cinnamon sticks, Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake Stout is our tribute to a dessert that begs for a slice during breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Pouring jet black with a creamy head, this delightful stout is as smooth as it looks. Aromas of sugar-dusted cinnamon crust and steaming cups of coffee waft out of the glass. Following behind is our rich malt bill, mixing with melted chocolate and toasty cake flavors. This stout is perfect for sharing with the dessert lovers in your life - enjoy!

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours opaque, dark brown in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is milk chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla and coffee. Medium body, moderate low carbonation, sweet. Really nice take...almost like an Oreo. Would get again. Coffee is mellow.

Poured from a 16oz can labeled Winter 2025 into a tulip glass.
Look: an inky brown in the glass, with a light half-inch head that resembles the color of a latte. Head dissipates early, perhaps due to the fullness of the can.
Smell: the nose brings the classic roasted malt and coffee-house-in-the-morning smell you’d expect from TH coffee stouts, with subtle notes of dark chocolate.
Taste: follows the nose a lot, but with stronger notes of dark chocolate and the addition of some slightly boozy dark fruit flavors. Much like the dessert it’s named for, it is sweet but balanced by the intense flavor of coffee beans and bittersweet dark chocolate.
Feel: Full-bodied but not heavy, and deceptively smooth carbonation.
Overall: Another great stout from TH, one that I expect and hope will make a return again soon!

From a 16oz can dated "Winter 2025" into a tulip.
Pours the darkest of dark browns with about five fingers of brown head. Unbelievable retention and good lacing. I barely cracked the can open adding to the violence of the pour. My bad, but these cans are filled almost all the way to the top and a normal opening would yield stout all over the place.
Getting nice chocolate, coffee, vanilla, light cinnamon and some dark fruits on the nose. Aromas are strong but not overpowering.
A lot going on in the taste department. Coffee, milk and dark chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and alcohol (in that order from greatest to least). Also getting the dark fruit. Very sweet.
Full-bodied, rich velvety mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Mostly coffee aftertaste.
Not even sure how to categorize this. There's so much going on here. And it's a heck of a well put together beer but not really my thing. The additives kind of push out the stoutiness of this stout. A single would have been enough.

Pours a deep brown color. Aroma is wonderful sweetness of vanilla, chocolaty fudge and coffee. Taste mirrors nose. Incredibly sweet with nice vanilla, chocolate fudge and some coffee. Medium mouthfeel. Overall, one of Tree House's best stouts.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass says Winter 2025 on the bottom. Pours motor oil black with a 2 finger mocha head that leaves nice thick streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.75
Aroma is cocoa nibs, vanilla bean, a hint of coffee, and fudge. 4.5
Taste follows cocoa, vanilla, coffee, and fudge. 4.5
Mouthfeel is above medium, maybe a tad sticky but not dry, soft creamy carbonation, and at 8.2% that it says on the can it goes down rather easy, but it is very sweet. 4.5
Overall this very well made and tasty stout, but it is sweet as you can imagine. 4.5
