Our thirst is never quenched in our pursuit of sappiness. We are pleased to introduce Very Sssappyyy, our most intense rendition to date!
This instant classic utilizes our newest hand-selected lots of Chinook and Simcoe hops, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Within its brilliant orange haze and creamy head, fresh red grapefruit and juicy papaya flavors abound. Mixed with these sweet aromas are the unparalleled sticky dank notes of a hop field at peak harvest.
The Sap series continues to explore the parallel flavors of pine, resinous hop oil, and the lip-smacking tropical aromas you’ve come to expect from a Tree House Double IPA

Glowing orange with a light cream colored head that quickly thins to a raft of fine bubbles. Strong nose of grapefruit and mango. Taste echoes these notes, adding a bitterness i can't place - it's not piney, nor is it really much like citrus rind (the two main types of bitterness i usually get from hops). Maybe it's reminiscent of other fruit skins as one reviewer below suggests. Whatever - it's good. Quite a dry finish. Mouthfeel is a little oily (but not enough to be off-putting) and the bitterness lingers in the mouth long after the swallow, which is nice.
Overall a very impressive DIPA (and I generally prefer single IPAs).

Pours a pumpkin orange in color with a thick, white, foamy head. Nose hints at papaya, mango and tangerine. Taste is somewhat peachlike and tangerine. Mild bitterness on backend somewhat like the skin of peaches. Thick beer.

Cloudy, muddy amber color. Smaller head but it leaves a blanket of lace throughout the tasting.
Strong earthy aromas. There was a brief berry sweetness but it faded so quickly, it almost seems to be not worth mentioning. There's a very faint toasty malt. There is also an even fainter hop bouquet. This is really an earthy smelling beer.
The flavor is meant for hop heads. There is very little notable pale malt flavor. The hop dominates from the beginning to the long aftertaste. The body is rich while the carbonation is a bit muted. The finish is harsh and biting. For me, it's a bit extreme.

Pours a cloudy carrot orange with a thin finger of dense, creamy, yellowed foam head. Good retention and thick lacing. The head is lovely, but the color disconcerting.
Strong cantaloupe melon and some underripe papaya in the nose.
The whole, dull underripe melon and papaya thing continues to the taste, joined by some pepper, a hint of pine and hint of citrus.
Full bodied with tight, zippy carbonation.
Another seriously underwhelming NEIPA that sours me on the style. Also, damn, for a beer called Sappy, include some more than barely perceptible pine flavor. Why produce beer this bad when you’re capable of producing good ones? Subpar at best.

Picked up a four pack of cans at Tree House Brewery in Sandwich, Massachusetts for about twenty two dollars. My three hundred and ninety second brew from these guys. Very solid.

Tastes of resin, tart, dank grapefruit, orange and cantaloup with a lightly bitter finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth, dry mouthfeel.
This is a very tasty, hoppy , juicy brew.

12oz pour from the lounge bar in Tewksbury.
Solidly opaque and gold body, moderate retention and lacing. Pungent pine and tropicals in the nose. A real blaster. Medium bodied with a smooth, almost chewy, resinous mouthfeel. A bit dank on the palate with plenty of ripe tropicals and pine sap trying to cut through the fruit bowl. Finishes with minimal malt or bitterness.
