Tree of Rejuvenation is a pure barrel-aged barleywine that rested in second-use blackberry brandy barrels for over a year. These barrels previously held Barrel Berry, a pioneering barrel-aged cold brew from Tree House Roastery. Upon tasting the beer, we decided to elevate the fruit-forward coffee notes already present by carefully infusing it with a gentle dose of a naturally processed El Salvadoran coffee concentrate, both roasted and extracted in-House.
Pouring a dark ruby brown in the glass, it greets your palate with waves of blackberry jam, chewy caramel, and undertones of black cherry and chocolatey coffee; all layered over a luxuriously rich mouthfeel.

Sweet caramel and brown sugar, prominent blueberry, Boo Berry cereal malty, a hint of coffee roast, a hint of dark fruits, and a hint of brandy barrel nose on this one! Taste follows very closely with a blueberry tart, roasty coffee, and a caramel and chocolate chew, boozy barrel finish. There is a lot going on here with the Bwizzle notes, plus the blueberry fruity tartness, and the coffee...as it warms, these flavors actually accentuate each other and come together! I just wish the mouthfeel was a little heavier to help out even more. Good!

Poured into a 20 tulip glass not sure when it was bottled. Pours a very attractive mahogany with a two finger light brown head that leaves a few lines of lace with nice retention. 4.75
Aroma is dark fruit, toffee, caramel, rum soaked raisins, oaked vanilla, and bourbon a ton going on. 4.5
Taste follows dark fruit, caramel, toffee, pecan, woody vanilla, and slightly charred bourbon again a crazy complex sipper. 4.5
Mouthfeel is above average for sure, a touch dry, gentle carbonation, and at 12.4% it is a slow sipper that due to all the complexities makes you sip more often as you find a new flavor each one. 4.75
Overall this a special beer. My wife got this for me for Christmas and she spent some big money, but man what a treat. Beer #3400 for this guy. 4.5
