Truth is the ultimate expression of Tree House Barrel-aged stout. Masterfully blended from our best barrels aged between eighteen and twenty-six months old, it carries notes of chocolate candy, sweet vanilla-like oak, tootsie rolls, and baker’s chocolate. It’s elegant, balanced, and intentional—a testament to the artistry and patience poured into each barrel. To elevate this character to new heights, we’ve crafted a limited run of Cookies and Cream Truth. This variation was conditioned on mounds of crushed chocolate cream cookies! The perfect accompaniment to Truth’s rich cocoa profile, aromas of milk-drenched cookies and sugary vanilla cream jump from the glass! It’s a decadent embrace of everything we love about Truth—only with a sweet and classic twist.

Small head production, and what little is produced is quickly gone. Brew pours thick like motor oil. Foam at the edge of the glass is incredibly dark brown.
Nose is amazing, featuring the massive stout base and bourbon barrels well ahead of the chocolate cream cookies. That's not entirely the same on the palate, which understandably is sweeter and richer, but the base beer and barrels are still there, and while decadent, it's not remotely cloying.
With many BA imperial stouts, a well-executed non-adjuncted version might make you excited for the variants. In this case, the reverse is true: if this is how good the cookies and cream version is, I can't wait to pour a glass of OG Truth.
