L - Motor oil black with a very thin head and dissipates immediately, leaving behind no lacing
S - Chocolate fudge, brownies, slight vanilla and oak, and a not overwhelming, but it's there, hint of signature ghost pepper - capsaicin super hot pepper smell - my nose twitches a little smelling it. As a "spice lord", I was excited to detect the pepper on the nose
T - Tastes like standard Truth - rich, intense bakers chocolate and fudge up with slight hints of oak and vanilla, but immediately followed up by the ghost pepper - slightly fruity but very smoky - make no mistake, it's a ghost pepper. The heat is very present, but not overwhelming and dissipates quickly.
F - Full bodied with light carbonation - thick, silky, sticky
O - I got to give it to Tree House, they promised ghost peppers and delivered - this might be the hottest beer I've ever had (that said, on a heat scale, it's maybe a 2-3/10), but it's enough to let you know it's there and I appreciate that. It's also noticeable that they actually used ghost peppers. Would I want to drink another 750mLs? Probably not, but it's still a well done Mexican hot chocolate stout
