Extended barel aging, chocolate, vanilla, oak and malt all converge over a decadent taste that's simply truth in a glass. Pile on the flavors of roasted peanut, hazelnut and almond and this beer is just plain nuts.
Pouring with the consistency of brownie batter, Tree House's Nutty Truth casts a headless appearance but shines with darkness in a robust perfume. Dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, toffee, caramel and vanilla invite the warming scent of fresh roasted hazelnut, peanut and almond to double down on savory roast. Sweet with molasses, chocolate, toffee and cream, barrel aged nuances of vanilla, caramel and char blend into the espresso roast like chocolate covered coffee bean, fudge and fruity hints of port wine. Low in bitterness, the late palate certainly prefers the pastry side of balance.
Full, rich and pleasantly cloying, the stout is simply a dessert in a glass.

The “nut” flavors are there but underwhelms.
