Haunted by Waters is a North German pilsner utilizing a traditional malt bill that carries subdued notes of bread crust and a hint of honey. As its sticky head subsides, lacing along the glass, Tettnang and Saphir hops bring forth notes of orange peel, lemon tea, and a kick of drying noble spice on the finish. Where all streams merge, our memories pass before us like a bustling shoal.

Purchased cold 3-weeks ago at Saratoga Springs for $14.40/4-pack. Kept cold until served. Poured to a Pils glass from a 16-oz can stamped “ALL THINGS MERGE INTO ONE, SUMMER 2025”.
The beer pours out medium-rich gold. Even with a mild pour the white pillowy head is too big to empty the can in one shot. Nucleated bubbles rise throughout the session. Lacing is 3D with sideways hills sticking out from the glass wall! And it clings on for dear life.
Biscuit and grass meet the nose
The taste is balanced with a cracker front and a hoppy, dry finish.
The mouthfeel is very Pilsner as is the carbonation.
I liked this beer a lot.

Proper German Pilsner served via side pulled. Straw, yellow, and color with a nice thick frothy head that leaves nice lacing. Nice malty nose, almost bread like. very easy drinking as a German Pilsner should be and easily chuggable

On tap at Tree House Brewing in Saratoga, NY.
This one pours a golden straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like spicy and herbal hops, a touch of slightly sweet maltiness, with crusty and doughy bread.
As I understand it, North Germans pils tends to be drier and hoppier, and I certainly like it. This has a dry herbal and spicy hop bitterness, refreshing and clean in the bitterness with very little bitterness. There’s a crusty rustic breadiness to it, with just the lightest hint of honey-like sweetness.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and super, super drinkable.
Tree House continues to make some of the best lagers in the Northeast, of basically every size and stripe.
