L - continuing on with the wacky waffle combinations. I'm in, let's make that clear. This one isn't terribly pleasant to look at. "Murky pond water" is a descriptor I heard from the peanut gallery, but I'm not sure I'd go that far. Certainly turbid, and perhaps a brownish orange with an oily head. I mean, if it is pond water, I would go swimming in it. I wouldn't be too upset if I drowned in it either.
S - bright pear up front. Unusual aroma for a beer, but somehow welcome. Meshes with the maple for an overall melony aroma. Is that butter I'm smelling? Sweet bread and orange cream. It's nice.
T - a bit more stringent on the tongue, but similar flavors. Surprisingly well-balanced between the pear and maple, leaving room for other flavors such as grapefruit and green tea. Finish is sweet and drying, with faint herbal bitterness. Refreshing and chonky at the same time.
F - supple carbonation with a creamy consistency. Fits right in with fluffy pancakes.
O - I'll admit, I was skeptical when I saw this beer, thinking maybe we've jumped a shark. I mean, how many beers utilize pear? There's gotta be a reason for that, right? Leave it to Tree House to break the mold and figure out how to make this shit taste good.

From a 16oz can dated 5.26.25 into a pint shaker. Can message: "Drink Your Breakfast"
Pours a deep opaque orange with about two and a half fingers of slightly off-white head. Great retention and lacing.
Aromas on the crack of the can is straight-up orange juice. With a little warming, I'm getting some mild pears and peaches. And with a little more warming, some sweet maple.
Taste is pretty far from the nose. It really tastes similar to waffles and syrup. With a side of OJ. Mild but noticeable bitterness on the back half of the sip.
Full-bodied, smooth mouthfeel with a dry, almost chalky finish. Low carbonation. Light bitter aftertaste.
This is not something I would not have picked out on my own-it came in a mix 12 pack. I also don't think I'd buy it as a standalone four pack. This beer is definitely doing what they want it to do and it's interesting as hell, but not really my thing.

This is my favorite beer of the year. I read the reviews after I purchased and I was prepared for disappointment. Maybe I’m an outlier. Maybe I’m a black sheep. I dunno. This beer rocked. Pear very potent despite what other reviewers say. Great breakfast beer.

Pours ultra hazy, dark gold in color with one inch head. Taste is orange maple syrup, slight pear and bitter earthy hops. Medium heavy body, bitter, moderate carbonation. I want more pear. Interesting but not as good as the original or the banana version--which is insanely good.

Canned 5/26/25. “Drink your breakfast”stamped on the bottom of the can
I hit up Tree House for the first time in a while the other day. I was really hoping to take some Wafflenanner to go as I tried that on tap and absolutely loved it, but this sounds like it’ll be awesome as well. Let’s crack it open and see what it’s all about
Pours a hazy pale orange with 2 fingers of creamy off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The nose is very sweet but with a nice bite to it. I’m picking up on aromas of papaya, maple syrup, poached pear, challah bread, lemon zest, orange juice, grassy hops, light white tea, and white grape
It’s actually not as sweet in taste, though I think that might be working against its balance. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting papaya, white grape, peppery hops, pear skin, bready malt, orange zest, light maple syrup, and vanilla. The swallow brings notes of pear skin, coriander, maple syrup, peppery hops, grass, papaya, orange juice, light vanilla, and lemon zest
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes mostly dry with a light bitterness
While it’s not quite as good as Wafflenanner this is still an awesome variant
