The brew deck boys advocated for King Sap for years, and for a little Christmas in July, we finally did it!

With mash-ups all the rage lately, how could we not combine these two icons?

King Julius and Sap cross paths, creating an intensely saturated offering. Notes of dank hops, tropical fruits, and pine sap swirl within a sweet malty base!

If you're a Sap person, do not miss this.

L - Hazy yellow with a large, fluffy off-white head that sticks around a bit leaving behind a ton of lacing
S - Piney hops and citrus, some darkness, but the smell isn't too strong
T - Piney, dank hops up front and throughout, intermixed well with notes of rich, bright orange juice that smooths out any hop bitterness that might be present. Good amount of malt.
F - full bodied with moderate carbonation. Soft, milky
O - a smoothed out sap or a danky kink Julius. Maybe somewhere in between. I like it, but I feel like it doesn't want to commit.

16 oz can dated 05.26.26

Pours cloudy opaque amber orange gold with a dense creamy white foam head. Notes of big ripe tropical stone fruits, ruby red grapefruity citrus, dark berries, a hint of toasty caramelized bready malt, and dank resinous earthy herbal floral pine sap. Feels medium full bodied, creamy with smooth moderate carbonation. Overall a real great DIPA.

Pours the typical opaque orange in color with a thick white head. Nice citrus nose. Taste was also heavy on citrus. Medium bitterness across the entire palate.

On tap in Tewks.

Presents cloudy gold with a half inch head of white.
Pungent aromatics with orange, peach, mango and resiny pine on top.
Medium bodied with a soft, slightly tacky mouthfeel.
Dank and juicy on the palate with plenty of mango, peach, pine.
Finishes ripe and dank.

Canned 9 days ago. This seems to effectively be the malt bill of King Julius with the hop schedule of Super Sap. It's orange-amber and has pronounced notes of zippy pine resin, grapefruit pith, grapefruit sherbet, and a hint of unripe mango. It's fine, but I think there are others in the Sap lineup that highlight the chinook better

Opaque orange, almost darker, with a short but puffy and lumpy white foam head.

This brings me back to when we first started getting Tree House. Their unique yeast is really on showcase here, so much so I actually kind of forgot about it until now.

Crazy fluffy, the full body brings that sort of gassy bubblegum evergreen juiciness that's just bonkers. The finish is simultaneously resinous, mango-like, and softly powder dry. Over time, it actually becomes a little maltier, grahamy and catty.

Perhaps this is all a bit more intense here than I'd personally prefer, but I can see others going wild for it.
