Plover is a British Golden Ale that pours a straw yellow color with a wave of sticky foam that clings to the glass. Traditional Fuggle hops lend soft notes of hay, sweet geranium, noble spice, and a subtle bouquet of garden herbs. Beneath these aromas, notes of biscuit and toasted bread are revealed within a crisp effervescence that fades into a clean finish. We crafted this beer to celebrate the brief and joyful bustle of life that greets us at the border of the sea.

Tree House's first go at a classic British Golden Ale. Poured into a large tulip pint glass.
Appearance: A golden color shading darker to a light amber, transparent with a light haze. Pour yields an inch and a half white head that settles into a solid 1/2 inch head, a few bits of lacing here and there.
Aroma: Hop aromas dominate, with grassy, herbal notes, a bit floral, and a very light lemon scent. Low levels of bready malt in the background.
Flavor: Again, the hops are more prevalent, with grassy notes and some spice, with light bread notes following. There is a low level of sweetness, finishes dry.
Mouthfeel: Lightly carbonated with a medium body, more than expected for a 4.0% abv. Flavors linger well after the finish.
Overall: A solid effort. I wanted a bit more malt flavor but overall this is an enjoyable beer.
