Cut Your Own is a pale ale utilizing whole cone Anchovy and Zumo hops, just in time for the holidays. Pouring a beautiful orange color, it bursts with sticky hop aromas straight from the bale. These hand-selected beauties were used on the hot side and aggressively in the dry hop. Cut Your Own hits with a wallop of bright lime zest, watermelon gummies, red berry, and a burst of dank hoppiness. We hope you enjoy this liquid ode to fresh-cut conifers as much as we do!

Very clear with a dirty gold appearance. Excellent lumpy head that stays throughout the tasting. Good chunky streaks and spots remain on the glass as the beer is consumed.
There's a "dark" aroma that is reminiscent of far darker beers. It' s a bit muddy with a touch of cardboard. I'm reminded of freshly baled hay. The typical malt aromas are nonexistent. I'm intrigued by the earthiness that isn't that dirt-like.
The pale malt is briefly present. The beer becomes quickly dry, as if all the sugar is removed. Moderate body and carbonation level. This departs from expectations in the swallow with papery bitterness that drops off the palate like a jump from a cliff. There's really no aftertaste. I would place this beer in the experimental category--it's intriguing and worth a single try. Reading the brewer's description, it simply doesn't match my experience with this beer.

On tap in Tewksbury.
Presents hazy gold with moderate head and retention. Leafy citrus in the nose but far from pungent as typically found in TH pale.
Light bodied with a soft mouthfeel.
Earthy and leafy on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness.
I returned this beer because it tasted nothing like it was described as.
