Cloudy brown-amber color. Decent bar-poured head which sticks around throughout the tasting. Excellent ring lace after each sip.

The smell delivers! It’s a bit sweet, like a creamsicle. Here, the hop is surprisingly subdued to the nose.

The flavor is complicated with orange, vanilla, and sweet cream (marshmallow?) blending nicely with the now present bittering hop. The body is full like other Julius beers. The carbonation is subtle and refined. The finish leans to the bitter but the orange creamsicle remains present throughout the long aftertaste.

I’m not normally a fan of these traditional beers flavored with other non-beer flavors (outside of Lambics), but this is something special—one of the few beers I’d order every time I see it available.

Had on tap at Sandwich. Pours hazy, orange gold in color with one third inch head. Taste is big marshmallow, mango, and kiss of orange. Medium body, sweet, moderate low carbonation. Must like marshmallow....orange is only there if you search. Good beer....needs more orange.
