16oz can poured into a snifter.
A: Golden-orange color with clarity that is shockingly bright. It has only a slight Haze to it, but is nearly see-through. Not your average tree house IPA. Two fingers of bone white head retain exceptionally well. Plenty of sticky lacing clings to the glass in rings and patchy clumps.
S: Clean and tropical nose, beginning with cantaloupe, honeydew melon, tangerine, star fruit, and Ruby red grapefruit. With repeated whiffs, a lot of dank bud begins to emerge. Green grass clippings. Mildly spicy and peppery. Spruce tips. Faint whiffs of tropical esters. Malt base is crackery and slightly toasty, with perhaps a hint of runny caramel.
T: Follows the nose. Cantaloupe and tangerine up front. Orange gummy wedges. Ruby red grapefruit with sugar. Star fruit. Really earthy notes pull through quickly thereafter. A ton of sticky, dank bud. Slightly fruity spruce tips. Green grass clippings. A bit oily, herbal, and peppery. Lemon zest. Bitterness is relatively tame. Estery. Touch of spicy alcohol. Toast and light caramel malt base is more of an afterthought in the grand scheme of the flavor profile. Quick and dry finish has some lingering orange gummy and "fruity pebbles" bud notes to it.
M: Full bodied with a slight sense of heft. Lush and creamy with a bit of pressing malty firmness. Carbonation is fine and slightly aggressive with some prickle to it. Decent amount of hop tannin. Warming alcohol.
O: I was once a hardcore Classics dork and even made a college career out of it, focusing on early imperial Rome and culminating in a BA. To be real, once the decision was made to name this beer Marcus Aurelius, they had at least one sure buyer. That said, the concept itself is also up my alley, given that my career in beer was built around West Coast IPA sales and it's a style that will always be close to my heart. I guess I was fated to drink this. Still, I'll be as objective as possible. I think is is solid, if not a bit forgettable. It's nicely clean and reasonably dry for its size. It's got the token citrus flavor, but the layered weedy "dankness" of it and overall tame bitterness are a bit unique. Then again I would've loved a more bracing hop bite and I think it is missed. It's a fine pint to drink and a fine 4-pack for that matter, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to buy more. Pliny the Elder it is not.

Mostly clear, golden in color. Medium thick, white, frothy head. Head leaves superb lacing. Nose is mildly sweet and also pine. Taste was similar to nose, partially sweet and partially pine. Medium bitterness on palate.

Pours a translucent golden color with a 2F head and heavy filmy lacing.
Smells of slightly dank piney and floral hops with strong citrus and sweet fruit.
Tastes of lightly tart grapefruit, orange, lemon and pineapple with a lightly bitter, boozy warm finish. As my glass warmed, the sweeter bits came forward.
Medium heavy body with light carbonation. Smooth, lush and lightly syrupy mouthfeel.
This is a big delicious sipper. "Outstanding" or maybe even better!

16oz can dated 1/13/26.
Pours clear gold with a chill-haze and a half-inch head of white. Minimal retention or lacing.
Fairly pungent in the nose with fruity pebbles, sugar-dusted pine, orange marmalade. Medium bodied with a tacky, sticky mouthfeel.
A heavy hand of bittering hops leads the palate with resinous pine and citrus pith following through.
Finishes fairly bitter and quite dry with a 10% kick.
Nice riff on PTY and definitely a beer for those who say "All Treehouse beers taste the same".
