Tree House Brewing Co. "Crumble"
1 pint can coded "SALACIOUS B. CRUMB APPROVED 05.04.26". Sampled on 05.25.26
$12.50 / 2-pk at the brewery in Charleton, MA
Notes via stream of consciousness: A cloudy brass colored body is capped by a finger's width of white foam. The aroma is resinous and softly fruity with just a touch of spiciness (perhaps from alcohol?). This is brewed with cinnamon and peach but I'm not finding it. On to the taste - the cinnamon is there but it's not exactly what you might expect, it has a more woody and leafy characteristic to it (I know, cinnamon IS bark, but I think you know what I mean), and I get the peach as well but that's also not really distinctly "peach". The label mentions brown sugar as a flavor note, and I clearly get that, but there's no brown sugar in it. It's very interesting, and I have no idea how the taste has gotten to where it is based on what they've written. There are hops there but it's not a super hoppy beer (should I say it's hop forward?), nor is it a spiced fruit beer. It's really unique, and quite compelling as it doesn't just hand you what you already know and expect, you've got to keep thinking about it. It's dry in the finish with a touch of "hop burn", a spritz of alcohol, and plenty of hop resins. OK, to finish up, it's medium to medium-light in body, and gently crisp then smooth. It's one of the most unique beers that I've ever encountered, and well worth seeking out. You know what might be nice? If they did an Amburana wood aged version of this.

Canned 3 weeks ago pours solidly Burnt orange color with a 3 finger head that is not going anywhere soon. Aroma is peach cobbler, peach pie with vanilla ice cream, very appealing, recognizable, and tantalizing. Really peachy, slight sweetness, there is a cinnamon bun ending in the taste that is mild and marrys the peach and vanilla nicely. This is Haze conditioned with cinnamon sticks and peach puree. I tend to be a purist about my fruit, ie I want brilliant hop mathematics with without purée cheat codes, so as a one off this is delightful.

Pours hazy, orange brown in color with one inch head. Taste is cinnamon roll, melon, peach, and brown sugar. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet. I didn't want to like this. I don't want cinnamon sugar Green...but really interesting and tasty. Haze with a cinnamon roll...but yes Haze. Really good sweetish ipa.
