I don’t always like porter but I liked this one a lot. Nice and smooth without being too bitter, syrupy or carbonated. A great drink for a winter day in a nice brewery taproom. I’ll get it again.

Served without a head, I didn't see it poured. No lace. Dark brown where no light passes through the glass.

Deep semisweet chocolate nose. Light floral hop in the background.

Creamy chocolate with a definitive vanilla bean flavor. Full bodied with a solid carbonation. Smooth. Sweet finish of cocoa. Slightly boozy but a shorter aftertaste.

never had a porter with such a mouth drying aspect before. felt the spice additions were a little heavy handed as well

In a plastic cup on the deck overlooking Hampton Beach at Charlie's Tap house.
Dark brown in color rich roasty chocolate with earth and fruit to counter. Pretty decent porter.

Tried this one at the brewery and thought it was pretty damn tasty. I'm not sure why that one guy gave it a 2 out of 5.

The vanilla and cinnamon flavors are well balanced with this beer.

Many thanks SawDog505 for this can!

A - Dark brown pour that's borderline black, thick burnt toffee colored lacing that's very sticky on the sides of the glass.

S - Dark roasted chocolate malt aroma, some roasted cocoa, and vanilla.

T - Nice chocolate roast, delicate smokiness, vanilla, roasted fudge brownie, and mild to moderate chocolate bitterness on the finish.

M - Thick body that's a little watery on the very back side, very dry on the top of the tongue and semi-dry on the sides of the mouth.

O - This is a very easy drinking porter.

Very smooth and full of flavor. Definitely would recommend for those who enjoy dark beers. Has notes of coffee and a light choco aftertaste. Doesn't feel over carbonated and goes down easy.

From the 12 fl. oz. can. Sampled on December 28, 2017.

The pour is a dark brown to about jet black color with a lacing-leaving frothy tan head.

The aroma emits toasted dark malt, vanilla, and char characters more than anything. I pick up little to no earthy hops.

Medium, smooth body.

I pick up a mildly sweet roasted flavor with less vanilla than I got on the nose. There is a keen dry bitterness to finish. Like the head, the bitterness lingers for a spell. It was a likable Porter.

Appearance: After the bubble show, the translucent fudge colored liquid builds underneath the beige head; two fingers of foam fade but leave a fair amount of lacing

Smell: Chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon; hints of pecan and coffee

Taste: Toasted brown bread and chocolate flavors lead off, with cinnamon tones building; while there is some coffee bitterness through the middle, the sweeter tones of pecan and vanilla emerge, after the swallow; coffee tones linger in the aftertaste

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A little on the sweet side for my palate, but a pleasant porter

Poured a deep opaque chocolate brown in a Stone Imperial pint glass- perfect for the style.

Heavy roasted malt aroma with a hint of chocolate.

Great taste- minty chocolate and roasted malt.

MF a bit on the tart hoppy side for the style, but quite good and much better than the common flat tasting MF in a lot of Porters.

Overall, excellent Porter, which can often be a lackluster brew.

This Porter has a lot of character. if you like Eugene from Revolution,
you'll like this beer, although it's a different approach to the style.
