Pint on tap at Slab in Portland while watching the Celtics hopefully beat the Cavs in the playoffs.
Appearance: It's dark in here so it's tough to get a good look, but it looks like a pretty solid black to me. Big creamy off-white head.
Aroma: Smells like a hop-forward beer. Some citrus, some faint pine, a bit of lemon. A little dark toast in the background.
Taste: Tasty, fairly hoppy beer. Follows the nose. Some nice hop bitterness keeps it interesting.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and rich, but sessionable.
Overall: One of the better black ales and black IPAs I've had. Will seek out more from Bunker.
