12 oz. in a stemless wine glass at the brewery. Pentagram astride glass.
Appearance: Jet black with a short leather head.
Aroma: Raisins, dark fruits. Syrup. Booze.
Taste: Raisins and syrup lead. That probably sounds bad, but it’s a good boozy stout. Maple. Kind of a maple candy note. Some dark malt, but it’s lurking behind a wall of booze. Other dark fruits like dates. Finishes with a booze burn.
Mouthfeel: A slow sipper. Not dense or heavy, but FULL of booze.
Overall: A tomahawk to the skull. Enjoyable though. One to sip slowly on a cold winter’s day.
