Can date hard to read, maybe 2021/09/09?
Pours a large foamy creamy 1.5 finger off-white head with great retention, rocky looking, thick lacing, very clear amber to auburn color
Nose semi sweet malts, very toasty, reddish sweet malt with some nice caramelization, toasted sweet bread crust, little doughy, toffee, nutty, fruity esters with red plum, bit of dried berry, prune, fig,
Taste brings more of the same, biscuity toasted malt, nice rich caramelized biscuit crust, sweet bread crust, caramel, toffee, a bit nutty, more rich dark fruits with fig paste, prune, a little plum, dried red apple, some raisin as well, it hints at a slight alcohol phenol character like a nice bock does but never really brings the alcohol, light bitterness from herbal hop notes, rich creamy but soft base lager as well, drier mild sticky sweet finish
Mouth is fuller bod, rich almost chewy creamy like, med to a bit higher frothy carb, hints at alcohol but it never comes
Overall very nice, I actually would have preferred a bit higher abv as it makes me feel like I'm drinking a stronger >8% like beer, but in general great malt base, great Maillard flavors, light but nice hop level, good fruits, actually quite well done
