Canned 2024/03/06
Pours a large 2+ finger off-white foamy bubbly head with moderate retention, a bit of lacing, fairly hazy ruby red color
Nose bright toasted reddish malt, a bit biscuity, toasted bread crust, mild malt-derived fruity esters, hint of caramel and honey, very light herbal hop
Taste is on the lighter side, some copper malt notes with toasted malts, bread crust but watered down in a way, a bit of sweet caramel and honey candy, then herbal noble hops kick in with med to lighter bitterness, faint fruity esters from the malts, hint nutty, dry semi crisp finish with med spicy hop bitterness
Mouth is lighter bod, a bit thin feeling, med frothy carb
Overall not bad, I do like the level of the Vienna malt in general but I feel like it needs a bit more base malt to give it some body and support as it feels and tastes a bit thin, but otherwise a well done Vienna lager
