Canned 2024/11/20
Pours a large foamy fizzy 2 finger brown head with moderate retention, a bit of lacing, very dark almost black color with hints of mahogany light
Nose lots of chocolate malt, dark chocolate, cocoa, a bit of cookie dough with dark chocolate chips, a bit of roast and coffee, a hint smoky, fair spicy hops, charred baking spices
Taste starts with a bit of creamy milk chocolate, then into dark chocolate, cocoa, into some mild roasted malt and coffee, bitterness from mild spicy hops and the roasted malts, some cookie dough and baking spices, touch of char, semi dry finish, lingering mild bitterness from spicy hops and roast, and a bit more dark chocolate and coffee lingering
Mouth is fuller bod, med carb, a touch creamy, just a hint of warming alcohol
Overall very nice robust porter
