Pours a slightly cloudy medium amber with a one-finger off white head that dissipates quickly.
Aromas of caramel, toffee, slight brown sugar, slight peppery hops, and some light fruit.
The taste is similar but more robust: caramel, toffee, and brown sugar mix with toasted brown bread and roast grains. Finishes with burnt brown sugar, slight earthy hop bitterness, and some alcohol.
Medium body with moderate carb. Smooth feel. Finishes sweet but not sticky.
Overall, very enjoyable dopplebock. Really well done.

Canned 2025/02/26
Pours a foamy creamy 1 finger off-white head with fair retention, fair lacing, semi clear slight hazed reddish copper to amber color
Nose brings plenty of the sweet toasted malt, biscuity toasted bread, a bit of caramel and toffee, hint of fruity esters
Taste brings more semi sweet malts, some caramel and toffee but not overly sweet, toasted malts, bread crust, touches of reddish fruit, plum and fig like, a touch of vanilla spice, a little nutty, light bitterness from mild earthy hops, finishes fairly sweet with more caramel toffee malt sweetness
Mouth is med to fuller bod, med carb, a hint of smooth alcohol warmth
Overall pretty good, enough sweetness and sweet characters to get into doppelbock level, alcohol was smooth, maybe a bit more hops would be nice, but still good

Poured from a 16 oz cand, dated 2/25/25 into the test glass
A - Dark copper color, a bit of haze, nice frothy cap to begin. Cap settles into a steady ring of collected carbonation
S - A bit of caramel, light brown sugar, hint of noble hop, slight grassy thread
T - All the aromatics in the mix, with more of a sweet malt presence.
M - Medium in body, with a sweet start that moves to center quickly. Finish is semi sweet, and nicely dry.
O - A very nice lager, very easy to enjoy. A nice looking beer, that has very good flavor and texture
