Poured on-tap at Great Lost Bear, the beer was served in a shaker pint. Vibrant, slightly hazed, amber-copper coloring with no head. Nose of toffee sweetness, roasted and rich. Flavors are roasty ad rich, with a sweet toffee and biscuit forward note, followed-by hints of chocolate and peppery hops. Scales tip to malty on the balance. Smooth, robust body. The aftertaste is tangy sweet, with hints of citrus highlighting the rich sweetness. Clean, slightly dry finish, with a subtle, tangy, sweet linger. Good, drinkable beer.

A very smooth, near-perfect session beer. This would be a good beer to have on hand after some healthy physical exertion in the yard, on the bike, in the gym or our on the road, trail or water. Had this at Mama's Crow Bar on (where else?) Munjoy Hill.
