Cask. The Abbotsford in Edinburgh.
An earthy hop aroma. Some citrus and mown grass which leads into a similar flavour.
A nicely conditioned smooth feel.

Brought at Drygate brewery in Glasgow. Pours a light hazy orange colour with a thin white head. Aromas of oranges, citrus & grass. Taste is on the dry side with oranges, citrus, grass, toffee & hints of spice. Aftertaste is a little on the sweet side with a medium fruity bitter finish.

served from the cask in an imperial pint glass here in the Orkney Islands, so it's good and fresh. the beer is golden in color, pale. quite hoppy compared to most beers here in Scotland, so the "American style" fits.

500ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£3.20):
Bright amber with a thin, patchy lacing of bubbles. Some bubbles in the body too & a little lacing left on the sides of the glass.
Strong hops & pine notes and to a lesser extent some tropical fruit ones as well. The beer smelt very refreshing and lively with a strong bitterness to it and some citrus, mango & grapefruit.
Bitter pine hops upfront with some grapefruit & citrus from the nose. Some malts lingering at the back along with some tropical flavours and a few grassy hops too,.
Bitter with fruity flavours that help add to the sweet base of the beer. The drink is quite crisp, slightly dry iwith moderate carbonation &f a medium body.
Lively & quite refreshing with a great fruity and hopped base that was definitely American influenced. An excellent beer & one that I'll be looking out for on-tap again around the Glasgow area.
