De Hopt. En copa Teku. Viendo Perdiendo el Norte. Agradable sabor tostado, cafetoso, aunque algo plana en aroma y algo aguada en sensacion en boca, aunque a medida que la bebes va mejorando

Off white head above dark and opaque beer. There is a chocolate nose with hints of wood and mushroom. It has a mainly chocolate flavour, some astringency and a spicy finish. Excellent.

Bottle pour into tulip glass.
Pretty solid looking black porter with decent lasting head. Standard roasted malt aroma and flavours. Slight ash on the finish (in a good way)
All in all a fairly generic porter but well made and reasonably priced. Suspect would be better from cask.
Cheers!

Had on cask served in a typical Imperial pint glass in the Jolly Judge in Edinburgh. It was the best cask ale I had on my week in England and Scotland. It is a nice roasty, full-mouth, flavorful porter, quite good. It was malty, but not sweet nor very bitter. Since it was a cask, the carbonation and temperature were just right. I can't rate the visuals too much, since I was in a below ground-level pub, it looked fairly opaque and the color of a typical dark brown porter, and the head was not too thick and lasted to the end. I enjoyed the beer so much, I made sure to visit the place a second time.

From bottles in Edinburgh (2015) & Stirling (2016).
Dark Brown; opaque; frothy head.
An "odd petroleum-type aromatic" that appeared in 2015 did not appear in the 2016 bottle Compromise rating assigned.
The flavor seemed better than the aroma in both cases, with the earlier bottle carrying a subtle off taste. Flavorful and malty with good complexity for style.
Medium carbonation and smooth, medium-full body.
