Not too many cask ales pouring at The Cumberland Bar in Edinburgh (many were kicked) so I settled on this one. Had to go with a half pint because it’s so strong. Haven’t had this style in so long, good to revisit it. Like a Scottish Ale hut kicked up in strength, booze, malt, everything. Earthy, woody, pretty sweet, slightly peaty/smoky. An enjoyable beer, best savored slowly.
