This is a perfect imperial chocolate stout. Great rich chocolate taste without being overly sweet. Wonderful mouth feel.

Rich tasting beer with a bit of warmth from the alcohol. Rich chocolate flavor, bit roasty. Dark head with lasting head retention.

First review from the east coast. A little too roasty, I would prefer more chocolate, less bitter

A very good representation of the style. Full bodied, a full head of golden brown foam. A very pleasing aroma and mouth feel; full of chocolate and a touch of coffee. One of my favorite brews from this company.

Some notes to pile on my initial rating. This bottle is 9.9% ABV
Pours chestnut hued with 3+ fingers caramel colored head, over gassed. Great head retention and lacing
S: Chocolate, cocoa, roasty
T: Follows the nose, dry and little leafy hops too up front. Cocoa & iron as this warms, dry, roasty. dark chocolate as well. Finishes dry, with cocoa, a touch of coffee, a little caramel
MF: Medium bodied, warming, firm carbonation, but not as bad as it looks; warming
Drinks okay, this is better on tap, but worth a go regardless
