Pours a dark brown that reveals a burgundy transparency when held against a light. Head is two fingers of dense, khaki foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is freshly cracked hazelnuts, which are beautifully arranged with an earthy tone and a slight bready sweetness. In addition, bready, caramely, toasted malts around out a sweet aroma. Flavor profile is sweet, earthy hazelnuts, backed up by bready, earthy, caramely, toasty malts. Together, it forms a sugary, earthy brown ale. Hazelnuts add a lot of of depth here, and while a bit strong, don't completely overshadow the brown ale beyond. Mouth feel is a lightly grainy velvet that turns to creamy as it breaks down. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall, hazelnuts add quite a bit to the experience here, but for once, meld into the beer well, although it's still worth passing on for those who dislike hazelnuts.

A - Dark brown pour with a thick creamy toffee layer of creamy foam.
S - Hazelnut and roast dominate the nose.
T - Hazelnut and dark roasted chocolate, and then finishes balanced ... and then the bitterness builds. Very nice!
M - Heavy and thick body, velvety smooth.
O - Not a brown ale fan but could easily see myself buying an entire case of this beer and crushing it. Recommended.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of a tan color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong sweet malt, strong chocolate, nut, hint of roasted malt, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of an American Brown Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong chocolate, strong sweet malt, nut, slight roasted malt, slight hops, and a hint of alcohol. This taste just like eating a chocolate turtle. Overall, weak appearance, but good aroma, body, and blend.

Pours auburn/brown with 3+ fingers o tan head. Average head retention & lacing
S: Hazelnut/nutella, toastyness
T: Hazelnuy/toastyness & dryness up front. A touch of woody hops, more toastyness, dryness & hazelnuttyness, as this warms, great flavor with this.
MF: Light/medium body, fairly firm carbonation, wish this was a little less thin
Drinks easy , a solid brown, but has some flaws the need improvement
