As beautiful as the Arkansas’ Ouachita Mountains. This attractive IPA features a bright hop profile, combined with British ale malt and oats. You’ll appreciate the clean finish and strong pine aroma sip after sip.

12oz undated can complements of @russpowell poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass at fridge temp 6.8% ABV 59 IBU per can. The beer pours bright honey colored amber with sticky light khaki head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is generous providing caramel, candied orange and pine. The taste is piney first followed by lots of tangerine and caramel. Medium to full bitterness after the initial taste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with adequate carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Very clean with a little hop stickiness in the end. Overall, very good. This one is right in my wheelhouse. Wonderful, bright, delicious IPA.

Note: This beer changed with temperature more than any beer I can remember. I wasn't sure it would be cold enough after 1.5 hours in the fridge, so I threw it in the freezer for 30 minutes. Very old school pine & citrus when very cold transforming to dank, earthy and tropical fruit as it warmed up. YMMV

Pours a clear copper with a hearty level of head. Head is dense and foamy, and off-white in color. Aroma is sticky hops, hitting notes of resiny, dank, herbal, floral, and syrupy. Malts are shy, but hit notes of biscuity, bready, and earthy. It's a little grungy, smelling like a Portland alleyway during the Nirvana era. Flavor profile is a continued smash-up of resiny, sticky northwest hops and citrusy, sweet northeast hops. Hops are resiny, sticky, dank, herbal, citrus, tropical fruits in descending order. Malts are bready, biscuity and earthy for a hearty level of support for the hops. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a frothy, fuzzy texture that leaves a little silty texture on the tongue. Overall, 'no coast' is a bit misleading as it tastes like a mash-up of both coasts, although that may be apart of the name play. It's very intriguing, but has a bit more hop bite than some may seek out.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 12oz can.

Poured from a howler: Hazed amber with a thumb of cream colored head. Insane lacing & good head retention

S: Breadyness in light amounts, citrus sneaks in late, plus mango

T: Bready, a little pine, grapefruit & a more mango up front. Detracting chalky dryness that all Core brews seem to have once warm, a little cakeyness, piney bitterness & a little grainy astringency. Finishes a little grainy, with mango & cakey dryness

MF: Fairly creamy, medium body, pretty good balance

Pretty easy to drink, not a great IPA, but far superior to most of their offerings
