This "Monster" Berliner Weisse lives up to its moniker coming in at a whopping 7.8% but the 'scary' part is that you'd never suspect the ABV to be that high if you werent told. This beer is made with sour gummy worms - a fun Halloween-ish type of experimentation but they take it step further by adding chocolate peanut butter cups to the mix. Ive never had chocolate nor PB in a sour beer before and, honestly, just tried this out of curiosity for the novelty of it. Turns out, it works and it works very well. The chocolate adds a certain creaminess to the beer that tones done the acidity and the peanut butter lends a nice nuttiness that manages the tartness. Its a trick-or-treat bag buffet in a liquid form but its clever and quite tasty.
