A one-time-only imperial stout aged in a new oak barrel for a year. Draft only.
The nose is very oaky, with smoke and dark chocolate scents, as well as a touch of vanilla. Flavour is excellent. Oak is strong, but joined by vanilla, roast malt, toffee, chocolate and marshmallow. A very big flavour, even for the style. Body is heavy and enveloping, with a moderate carbonation.
Really good. It's nice to get a big, bold stout that doesn't derive its flavour from another liquor (as much as I love those as well). The oak does a lot, but the beer is the star. A shame there is so little (a single barrel).

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
