Very cloudy, essentially opaque golden colour. The aroma is already notable as it pours. I get orange, papaya and pine in the nose. The flavour is strikingly bitter compared to all of the other editions of this series. The fruit and pine are there, as well as a touch of malt sweetness, but the aftertaste is focused on the bitterness. A bit too much for me, though the flavours are otherwise very nice.

probably the most intensely hoppy beer i've ever had. might be overkill for some, but i like it a lot. vibrant papaya, mango, and pineapple up front, but the extreme sticky weed-piney dank flavours and bitterness kick in soon after, almost never leaving your palate. the carbonation is rather prickly and should be taken down a notch. overall, an amazing IPA that showcases the idaho 7 hop and also the essence of hops themselves

This is a hop to get used to, and I still haven’t with this try. Certainly bitterness, but not the most drinkable hoppy beer I have had from Bellwoods.

There's a look of density that's added to its apricot orange body by its extreme level of hop haze. It's more reminiscent of a pulpy, unfiltered fruit juice than it is a beer. The white head that sits on top is full and fluffy.
This wreaks of ripe, fleshy papaya and mango. There's lots of pineapple and tangerine too. A backbone of ultra fresh resinous greens and pine adds some stick and balance to its core of tropical punch.
The ripeness of the fruit is dulled and their flavors are closer to their skins instead of their flesh. Plenty of mango and pineapple resonate from the start to the middle. It's the pine-forward resin that steps up in the taste. It's dank and sticky with an assertive green, grassy, herbal bitterness that lingers well past the finish.
A crisp level of carbonation pairs with its clean and bitter finish that gives it a snappy edge. Its dryness borders on being sharp and here is where the bitterness is layered on top.
I love the haze and all of the tropical fruity goodness that comes with it. My only qualm is that the bitterness imparted from the Idaho 7 takes on a slightly acerbic quality in relation to its malt character and overall body. C'est la vie. This stuff is still great.
