Tired of all that barley in your beer? Had enough of those 'regular' ales? Then you need to go your own way and grab a 100! Of course I'm joking, because beers made with barley are delicious, but as it turns out, so is this experimental ice cold cruiser made with 100% oat. And don't be a dummy like me and ask, "So there's no barley at all in this?" -- No! Hence the 100% part.

Brewed entirely with oats as the grain base (both malted and flaked) and hopped with Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria. I don't think I have ever before had a beer where the entire grain bill is oat. The nose has orange and lemon, and whether power of suggestion or otherwise, does seem to have a bit of an oatmeal scent, like cookies. In any event, there is a malt scent that discloses that something different is going on.
The change in flavour caused by the switch from barley to oat is interesting, because the difference is notable but not overwhelming. Citrus fruits blend with an oatmeal cookie flavour (minus the sweetness).
Light to medium bodied, with a soft, slightly creamy feel. Super refreshing.
I really like this one. It is flavourful and incredibly easy drinking. I could quickly go through several on a nice day. I don't know if this is destined to reappear, but I hope it does.
