This mixed fermentation ale is soured with a house blend of lactobacillus cultures prior to secondary fermentation and a heavy Citra-Mosaic-Cascade dry-hop. The result is juicy, sour, and thirst quenching.
This limited edition version includes a large dose of sweet cherries, adding additional flavours of cherry lollipops and giving it a beautiful deep red colour.

500 ml bottle available at Broadway Liquor Store in Vancouver. (For way too much money, but I didn't want to pass up the opportunity.)
A: Dark cherry colour, respectable pale pink head.
S: More sour than cherry.
T: Cherry with very little sweetness.
F: Refreshing.

500ml bottle from Hafis.
Deep murky red with no head. Cherry and slight funkiness on the nose. Bright cherry with mild grassy hops on the tongue. Medium body. Another nice Jelly King variant. Enjoyed Blackberry slightly more I think.

From a 500ml bottle served at 11 degrees Celsius into an oversized wine glass.
Look: Within style and not very attractive. The beer pours a cloudy brownish-red with 1.5cm of off-white, pinkish head that is fully gone in less than a minute. No lacing.
Smell: Strong hops (grapefruit, pineapple, pine, and grass) with faint fruit (sour cherry). Slightly funky.
Taste: Same as the aroma with hops (grapefruit, pine, and grass) at the front which switch over to fruit (sour cherries). The finish is short, dry, and fruity.
Feel: Fizzy with medium-light body and lively carbonation. No perceptible alcohol warmth.
Overall: A funky and sour fruit beer; like a carbonated juice with hops. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. It's pretty good in terms of aroma and taste and certainly has its place within summery thirst-quenchers. For me it's not worth the high price point. Sorry Bellwoods, I still love you.

Another nice Jelly King variant. The nose is cherry with some light funk and lacto. The flavour is cherry focused (finish is very black cherry soda-esque), moderately tart wig some funk. The bright fruits of the regular are mostly obscured. Not as good as the blackberry, but very tasty.
