This variant of our on-going milkshake IPA series had the fruit addition left out in favour of a second massive dry-hop. As with the rest of the series, this IPA was brewed with lactose sugar and apple pectin, and conditioned on generous amounts of vanilla.

Pours straw/gold with a nice light uniform cloudiness. Tall head which fades fairly quickly & leaves little lacing. Aroma of peach / pineapple juice with a hint of vanilla. Taste follows the nose with some citrus / grassiness in there with the peach/pineapple & then a slightly disjointed sweetness imbibed with vanilla & just a slight hint of milkshakish flavours. Some decent hop tastes in there and while this was nice to try, I prefer a nice juicy IPA without the added & slightly disjointed sweet flavour from the lactose & vanilla.

On tap at Beavertown Extravaganza. Hazy bright yellow color. Aroma is really fruity and hoppy with vanilla in the background. Taste is juicy, hoppy with vanilla notes and creme brulee.

Looks like fresh squeezed golden pineapple juice; opaque; pure white head fizzles to a sparse layer rapidly.
Pineapple, yuzu, big and bright citrus on the nose. Not what I expected, and it's interesting.
Flavour is bitter citrus, lemon and grapefruit, with a puckering dry finish. There's tropical fruit notes, pineapple again, but the fruity flavours are subdued by the bitter. Medium body and medium/light carbonation, could use a bit more effervescence. Gotta say, not picking up vanilla.
This was my first Milkshark, sadly, and it not what I'd anticipated. This was dry hopped, a change from the past, so maybe that's why it didn't really have anything milk-shakey to it. That said, it was great tasting with delightful hop notes.

solid milkshark surprise release. Some spicy hop finish. Smoother mouthfeel. Vanilla aroma. One of the best if not the best of the series. Thanks for sharing, Brian.

Milkshake double dry-hopped, without fruit. Aroma much fainter as a result. Vanilla is strong, of course, then with some hard-to-distinguish fruit flavours from the hops. A slight bitterness in the finish, but generally sweet. I don't find the additional hopping to result in a dramatic change- Milkshark without fruit says it all. For me, not as good as the best of the fruited ones, but I prefer it to, say, blackberry.
