This rich and full-bodied vanilla porter was brewed with the goal to make a relatively low-alcohol porter that is round and chewy enough that it drinks like its higher alcohol counterparts such as the Lost River Baltic Porter. The result is not unlike drinking a melted chocolate bar. Huge aromas and flavours of chocolate, vanilla, root beer and espresso beans. A round, chewy mouthfeel leads into a pleasant and well-balanced finish.

Vanilla gives it a hint of creamy milk feel without the lactose. Chocolate in the smell. Vanilla kicks in only once room temperature, so more creamy traditional porter in first sips soon after fridge. At room temp, more of the roast character.

Nice rich aroma of chocolate, vanilla and some burnt toffee. The vanilla is strong but complements the base very nicely, combining with the chocolate and, once my taste buds grabbed it, a clear root beer flavour. Finishes dry. The porter style is often said to be too absent in Ontario - this would be a nice way to fill the void if it became a repeated offering.
